The REAL Civil Rights Act

Republican politicians must not know history very well, otherwise they would point out that the first and real civil rights act didn't happen in 1964 but rather in 1866. The Civil Rights Act of 1866 secured the rights for former African slaves and was fully titled: An Act to protect all Persons in the United States in their Civil Rights, and furnish the Means of their vindication. The act read in part:

All persons within the jurisdiction of the United States shall have the same right in every State and Territory to make and enforce contracts, to sue, be parties, give evidence, and to the full and equal benefit of all laws and proceedings for the security of persons and property as is enjoyed by white citizens, and shall be subject to like punishment, pains, penalties, taxes, licenses, and exactions of every kind, and to no other.

At first black Americans understood the significance of this act; so much so that the first 21 black congressmen were ALL Republicans.


WHAT HAPPENED?

The question is, what happened? If black Americans won their full rights in 1866 why do we celebrate 1964 as the year of civil rights? Well, in 1866 the group of Republicans that brought forth the civil rights act were considered "radical Republicans" because they were more liberty-minded than most politicians, whether Republican or Democrat. This is much like what the so-called Tea Party politicians of today are like. They seek liberty and freedom for all Americans but are considered "radical" or "extreme" for this position. After the Civil Rights Act of 1866 was passed, then Democrat President Andrew Johnson vetoed it but the radical Republicans were able to override the veto and put the act into law.


To solidify the Act's standing, the Republicans went on to pass the 14th Amendment which is often referred to as the "due process amendment and in summary says:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

DEMOCRAT RESPONSE

The Democrats, which mainly represented the south responded by creating a militant activist/terrorist group that would attempt to intimidate not only black voters and politicians but also any white person that would dare to support the civil rights of black Americans. This Democrat group became known as the Ku Klux Klan or the KKK. While Democrats today try to paint the Republican Party as racists and bigots, historically it has been the role of the Democrat Party to suppress the liberty and freedom of black Americans.
Historian Eric Foner observed:

In effect, the Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic party, the planter class, and all those who desired restoration of white supremacy. Its purposes were political, but political in the broadest sense, for it sought to affect power relations, both public and private, throughout Southern society. It aimed to reverse the interlocking changes sweeping over the South during Reconstruction: to destroy the Republican party's infrastructure, undermine the Reconstruction state, reestablish control of the black labor force, and restore racial subordination in every aspect of Southern life.

When the Democrat Party failed to undo the Civil Rights Act of 1866, it then took other measures to hold back the liberty of black Americans.

EQUAL BUT SEPARATE: JIM CROW LAWS

The practice of white only drinking fountains, lunch counters, and other discriminatory policies was in direct conflict with the Civil Rights Act of 1866, but Democrats like they do today were able to twist the law to allow it to be applied in a way never intended. The Jim Crow laws grew out of the Black Codes; which were policies imposed by Democrat politicians and would use vagrancy laws (vagrancy = homeless and/or unemployed) to restrict black Americans freedom. A brief introduction to the Jim Crow laws again reveals it as a Democrat Party stain.

In the 1870s, Democrats gradually regained power in the Southern legislatures, having used insurgent paramilitary groups, such as the White League and Red Shirts, to disrupt Republican organizing, run Republican officeholders out of town, and intimidate blacks to suppress their voting. Extensive voter fraud was also used. -- source

As the reader can see, the Democrat Party has for a long time used un-American tactics...today called "protests" which are often violent to disrupt the freedoms of Americans.
As the Democrat Party regained control of the south, they imposed the Jim Crow laws which suppressed the black American's ability to participate in society. This continued on as you know until the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

1964 CIVIL RIGHTS ACT

The 1964 Civil Rights Act didn't really give black Americans more freedom, that was ALREADY secured in 1866. The 1964 Civil Rights Act UNDID the Jim Crow laws that the Democrat Party had imposed on black Americans for nearly 100 years AFTER the Republicans gave black Americans their full freedom. So, while Democrat politicians like John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson are given "credit" for passing the 1964 Civil Rights Act, in reality it was they -- as Democrats -- that had imposed the very oppressive policies on black Americans for 100 years. In fact, the Democrats attempted to block the 1964 Civil Rights Act from passing:

When the bill came before the full Senate for debate on March 30, 1964, the "Southern Bloc" of 18 southern Democratic Senators and one Republican Senator led by Richard Russell (D-GA) launched a filibuster to prevent its passage. -- source

In fact, Democrat senator Robert Byrd who Hillary Clinton called a "true American original and friend and mentor" spent 14 hours talking in an attempt to block the passage.

Byrd was a KKK member and recruiter in the 1940s and wrote in 1944:

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. -- source

DEMOCRAT MANIPULATION

Just like the Democrats twisted the Civil Rights Act of 1866, so did they manipulate the 1964 Civil Rights Act for their own purposes. Democrat President Lydon Johnson said:

I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.-- source

Johnson and the Democrats knew they could manipulate the law once again to make it work in their favor. To this day, most people believe it was the Democrats who secured the civil rights for black Americans. Johnson and his fellow Democrats only used the 1964 undo the Jim Crow laws Act to trick black Americans into supporting them. And it seems to have worked despite Johnson calling black Americans "niggers" in 1964, the very year of the Act.

The Democrat Party has figured out how to trick Americans into thinking the Republicans are the racists, when history shows that Democrats have been the REAL racists; not just the so-called "Dixiecrats" right after the Civil War but even Johnson in 1964. The only reason the Democrat Party appeals to "minorities" (another offensive classification) is to get their vote. The Democrat Party promises and promises to "help" but purposely NEVER does actually solve anything. If black Americans no longer needed welfare or affirmative action then what "cause" would the Democrat politician use to trick black Americans into getting as Johnson said "them n*iggers to vote Democrat for the next 200 years".


It is time black Americans and Latino Americans and ALL Americans stop supporting the KKK Democrat Party. The Democrats have been manipulating Americans for over 150 years; whether through terrorism such as the KKK, or discrimination such as the Jim Crow laws, or fake sympathy as the 1964 Civil Rights Act (undoing their own Jim Crow laws), to Hillary Clinton claiming that if black people won't do what she says then she'll "only talk to white people".

That ANY black American EVER votes Democrat is amazing.
