Black America’s Antisemitism Problem

Fri, 12/23/2022 - 16:00

The worst manifestation of the vicious bigotry is the almost daily attacks on Jews in New York’s religious neighborhoods by black attackers. This is not new but it has reached terrible new highs.

You would think a long suffering, oppressed people would have empathy, show solidarity with another long, oppressed minority. Not so. The oppressed becomes the oppressor.

Black antisemitism is skyrocketing with the tacit approval of the left.

Black antisemitism – no cancellation, no condemnation, no repercussion.

These are frightening times for Jews. The incitement to hatred and violence is a harbinger of terrible things to come.

Disqualifying Trump Without a Verdict: ‘Disqualification Without Conviction’ Is Emerging as a Democratic Strategy

‘Disqualification Without Conviction’ Is Emerging as a Democratic Strategy

Party is prepared to proceed even though the 45th president was actually acquitted — found to be ‘not guilty’ — of incitement to insurrection.

By: A.R. Hoffman, NY Sun,  December 22, 2022:

The decision by the January 6 committee to refer President Trump to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution for incitement to insurrection could emerge as a landmark in efforts to disqualify the former president from office, regardless of whether indictments are handed up — or verdicts brought in.

That possibility comes into focus as the legal director of a group pushing to disqualify Mr. Trump, Ronald Fein, tells the Sun that the committee’s findings will “help us demonstrate, in court and to public officials, why Trump is already disqualified.”

Mr. Fein, who works with Free Speech for People to apply the 14th Amendment’s Disqualification Clause to Mr. Trump on the basis of his participation in the events of January 6, 2021, argues that the J6 committee’s work highlights “why Mr. Trump is disqualified from office.” Mr. Fein adds that disqualification “doesn’t require a prior criminal conviction,” an unsettled legal position that appears to beguile Democrats in the House.

Yet Mr. Fein goes further — arguing that disqualification can proceed even though the former president was actually acquitted — found to be “not guilty,” and by a wide margin — when he was tried in the Senate for incitement of insurrection.

Asked by the Sun about the relevance of that verdict, Mr. Fein responds that the “fact that the Senate failed to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial is irrelevant.” He argues that “of the 43 senators who voted to acquit, 22 expressly based their vote on their belief that the Senate lacked jurisdiction to try a former official,” meaning that their votes were not on the merits or that the standard was guilty until proven innocent.

Mr. Fein walks this reporter through a creative calculation. He adds the aforementioned 22, who felt the Senate lacked jurisdiction, to the 57 who voted to convict, to conclude that, as he puts it, a “clear majority, and a likely two-thirds majority, if not more, of senators agree that Mr. Trump is guilty of incitement to insurrection.”

As the J6 committee packs up its tent, more than 40 Democrats have introduced a bill proposing that Mr. Trump is “ineligible to again hold the office of President of the United States or to hold any office, civil or military, under the United States.”

That legislation is sponsored by Representative David Cicilline. It is co-sponsored by, among others, Henry “Hank” Johnson Jr., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Mr. Ciciiline tells NBC News that it is “very clear that the president engaged in an insurrection.” He said that if Mr. Trump is convicted, disqualification would be “automatic.”

When Mr. Trump was tried for incitement of insurrection in 2021, it was the sole count at issue in his second impeachment trial, which concluded in an acquittal. In recent generations, only one official has been disqualified on the basis of the 14th Amendment; a county commissioner in New Mexico, Couy Griffin, who was convicted of trespassing on January 6.

Mr. Fein’s contention that conviction is not required for disqualification is bolstered by the state judge, Francis Mathew, who disqualified Griffin. In his decision, Judge Mathew ruled that disqualification is “not a criminal penalty, and neither the courts nor Congress have ever required a prior criminal conviction” for its imposition.

Mr. Trump could face a disqualification push that has nothing to do with January 6. Eighteen U.S. Code § 2071, one of the statutes at play in the Mar-a-Lago documents case, ordains that anyone found guilty of mishandling documents is “disqualified from holding” office again.

Democrats’ Obscene $1.7 Trillion Spending Orgy Includes Extra Funds for DOJ to Pursue More Illegal Jan. 6 Political Prosecutions

Thu, 12/22/2022 - 18:37

We write the checks for this depravity. Paying for our demise.

Pelosi’s $1.7 Trillion Omnibus Bill Contains Billions in Wasteful Spending

Daily Wire: Critics are howling at spending perks and rules littered throughout the $1.7 trillion “omnibus” bill meant to fund the federal government for another fiscal year. The legislation was unveiled in the Senate early Tuesday and boasts $858 billion in defense funding as well as $772.5 billion for non-defense “discretionary programs,” according to a summary. Time is of the essence as funding expires Friday at midnight, leaving some lawmakers to grumble while poring over the legislation that is more than 4,000 pages long(Daily Wire). Rep. Andy Biggs: The Democrats’ reckless omnibus bill spends YOUR money on a “Michelle Obama Trail,” a “Ukraine Independence Park” in DC, and a “Speaker Pelosi Federal Building” in San Francisco. Are you ok with all of this (Twitter)?

Omnibus Bill Has Extra Funds for DOJ to Pursue More Jan. 6 Lawsuits

By Madalina Vasiliu, The Epoch Times, December 22, 2022:

The $1.7 trillion, 4,155-page omnibus government funding bill released early Tuesday morning, contains funds for the Justice Department (DOJ) to pursue additional lawsuits related to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol.

The bill lists various funds, based on Jan. 6 events.

It would give U.S. attorneys $2.63 billion—an increase of $212.2 million—”to further support prosecutions related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and domestic terrorism cases,” according to the summary provided by the House Appropriations Committee.

The bill also has $734.5 million for the U.S. Capitol Police, up $132 million over fiscal year 2022. That includes incentives for law enforcement personnel for overtime pay, officer retention, and recruiting. These benefits include tuition credits, wellness, and trauma counseling.

It would cover security officers on contract for mission needs and First Responder Unit training, K-9 unit expansion, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) facility costs and training, including leadership development and life-cycle replacements for necessary security, safety, and communications equipment.

The Capitol architect would receive $1.3 billion, a $541 million increase over the fiscal year 2022 budget.

Additionally, the bill would include $11.33 billion for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), “for efforts to investigate extremist violence and domestic terrorism.”

The amount represents an increase of $569.6 million compared with the 2022 fiscal year. That would be $524 million above President Joe Biden’s budget request.

“After a lot of hard work, Democrats will fulfill our promise to pass reforms to the Electoral Count Act into law,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on Dec. 20.

“Two years after January 6, the attack on our Capitol remains an indelible stain on our democracy, and updating the Electoral Count Act is one of the ways we can prevent another January 6 in the future.”

The omnibus bill includes the intention to make it tougher to reverse a certified presidential election as a direct reaction to the Jan. 6 events at the Capitol. It would raise the threshold for objecting to state electors from one House member and one senator to one-fifth of both chambers.

On Dec. 19, nine members of the Jan. 6 committee agreed to bring criminal charges against former President Donald Trump related to that day’s events. A conviction on any of the charges would make it illegal for him to run for president again.

The same committee referred four Republican legislators to the House Ethics Committee for defying subpoenas earlier this year.

On Dec. 20, House Republicans wrote a letter to Senate Republicans urging them to oppose the omnibus spending bill.

“If Senate Republicans refuse to give the House Republican majority the opportunity to take the pen on FY23 appropriations to enact fiscal restraint and check the Biden administration’s assault on the American people, then what purpose is there to the Republican party outside of an urge for more power, perpetuation of grift, and show hearings?” the letter reads.

If the Senate and House adopt the bill on Thursday and President Joe Biden signs it by Friday, a number of organizations and government agencies will receive significant funding for the fiscal year 2023.

Obscene Spending Bill Creates “Nancy Pelosi Federal Building”

Thu, 12/22/2022 - 17:00

Why do we name buildings, roads, tunnels etc after politicians. They are the worst of humanity. They create nothing, invent nothing, contribute nothing – they plunder and destroy. That said, honoring Pelosi is a defiles the American taxpayer. Sickening.

The only building deserving of the Pelosi name is a prison or a nuthouse.

Spending Bill Creates “Nancy Pelosi Federal Building”

By: Bongino Report, December 22, 2022:

Democratic leaders are scrambling to get their massive $1.7 trillion omnibus government spending bill across the finish line before the end of this week, with some Republicans pushing back against unrelated measures they argue are unnecessary to include.

Among the 4,155-page spending bill is a number of measures that would designate certain buildings or programs to be named after top lawmakers, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who is stepping down from her leadership role next month. As part of the spending bill, the legislation would name the San Francisco federal building at 90 7th Street after the California Democrat. Pelosi is among those who have urged the passing of the government funding bill.

It is urgent and necessary that we enact this omnibus package so that we may keep government open and delivering for America’s families,” Pelosi said in a statement.

Other Democratic leaders were also honored as part of the legislation, including Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), who is retiring next month. As part of the government funding bill, the legislation would rename the “Access to Local Foods: Farm to School Program” to become the “Access to Local Foods: Patrick Leahy Farm to School Program.”

The bill would also rename the Lake Champlain Basin Program to become the Patrick Leahy Lake Champlain Basin Program, and it would allocate $30 million to go toward the Patrick Leahy Bullet-Proof Vest Partnership Grant Program.

Going further, the bill also seeks to honor Republican Sen. Richard Shelby by renaming the FBI building located in Alabama after the state’s senior senator, who is also retiring.

A handful of Republicans rejected the spending bill, decrying it as a move by Democrats to increase spending amid record-high inflation.

“I guess there are still a few things in Alabama that have yet to be named after Richard Shelby,” said Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) on Tuesday.

However, Shelby supported the spending bill, urging fellow lawmakers to pass the legislation to avert a government shutdown.

“This process was far from perfect, but ultimately it allowed Republican red lines to be adhered to, and because of that, I will urge my colleagues to support this package,” Shelby said.

Republicans also fired off against an earmark provision in the spending bill that would allocate roughly $3.6 million to go toward the Michelle Obama Trail located in Georgia.

“The Democrats’ reckless omnibus bill spends YOUR money on a ‘Michelle Obama Trail,’ a ‘Ukraine Independence Park’ in DC, and a ‘Speaker Pelosi Federal Building’ in San Francisco. Are you ok with all of this?” said Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) in a tweet.

Saying ‘American’ Is Now RACIST And Stanford University’s List of Other UNACCEPTABLE WORDS

Thu, 12/22/2022 - 16:00

The Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative is a “multi-phase” project of Stanford’s IT
leaders.

“Stanford University” – now there’s an unacceptable term.

What will it take for the people rise against this leftist scourge destroying the country?

Stanford Scrambles To Hide List Calling ‘American’ Racist or ‘Harmful’ Language

By: Valient News, December 22, 2022:

Despite Stanford’s claims, the debate on the term “Americans” arises not out of racism, but linguistic differences between English and Spanish speakers.

Stanford University has demanded that citizens of the United States should not be referred to as “Americans,” deeming it harmful and racist language use.

In May, Stanford published an index of offensive words, as part of their “Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative,” which they described as a “multi-phase, multi-year project to address harmful language in IT at Stanford.”

“The goal of the Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative is to eliminate* many forms of harmful language, including racist, violent, and biased (e.g., disability bias, ethnic bias, ethnic slurs, gender bias, implicit bias, sexual bias) language in Stanford websites and code,” the university wrote on its website.

Guide to Acceptable Words
Behold the school’s Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative.

By The Editorial Board, Dec. 19, 2022:

Parodists have it rough these days, since so much of modern life and culture resembles the
Babylon Bee. The latest evidence is that Stanford University administrators in May published
an index of forbidden words to be eliminated from the school’s websites and computer code,
and provided inclusive replacements to help re-educate the benighted.

Call yourself an “American”? Please don’t. Better to say “U.S. citizen,” per the bias hunters,
lest you slight the rest of the Americas. “Immigrant” is also out, with “person who has
immigrated” as the approved alternative. It’s the iron law of academic writing: Why use one
word when four will do?

You can’t “master” your subject at Stanford any longer; in case you hadn’t heard, the school
instructs that “historically, masters enslaved people.” And don’t dare design a “blind study,”
which “unintentionally perpetuates that disability is somehow abnormal or negative,

Appeared in the December 20, 2022, print edition as ‘The Stanford Guide to Acceptable Words’.
furthering an ableist culture.” Blind studies are good and useful, but never mind; “masked
study” is to be preferred. Follow the science.

“Gangbusters” is banned because the index says it “invokes the notion of police action against
‘gangs’ in a positive light, which may have racial undertones.” Not to beat a dead horse (a
phrase that the index says “normalizes violence against animals”), but you used to have to get
a graduate degree in the humanities to write something that stupid.

The Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative is a “multi-phase” project of Stanford’s IT
leaders. The list took “18 months of collaboration with stakeholder groups” to produce, the university tells us. We can’t imagine what’s next, except that it will surely involve more make-
work for more administrators, whose proliferation has driven much of the rise in college

tuition and student debt. For 16,937 students, Stanford lists 2,288 faculty and 15,750
administrative staff.

The list was prefaced with (to use another forbidden word) a trigger warning: “This website
contains language that is offensive or harmful. Please engage with this website at your own
pace.”

Evidently it was all too much for some at the school to handle. On Monday, after the index
came to light on social media, Stanford hid it from public view. Without a password, you
wouldn’t know that “stupid” made the list.

Biden Regime to Drop Half a Million on Artificial Intelligence That Detects “Microaggressions” on Social Media

Biden Admin to Drop Half a Million on Artificial Intelligence That Detects Microaggressions on Social Media

President Biden On His Administration’s New Actions On The Economy

By: Philip Caldwell • Washington Free Beacon •  December 21, 2022:

The Biden administration is set to dole out more than $550,000 in grants to develop an artificial intelligence model that can automatically detect and suppress microaggressions on social media, government spending records show.

The award, funded through President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, was granted to researchers at the University of Washington in March to develop technologies that could be used to protect online users from discriminatory language. The researchers have already received $132,000 and expect total government funding to reach $550,436 over the next five years.

The researchers are developing machine-learning models that can analyze social media posts to detect implicit bias and microaggressions, commonly defined as slights that cause offense to members of marginalized groups. It’s a broad category, but past research conducted by the lead researcher on the University of Washington project suggests something as tame as praising meritocracy could be considered a microaggression.

The Biden administration’s funding of the research comes as the White House faces growing accusations that it seeks to suppress free speech online. Biden last month suggested there should be an investigation into Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter after the billionaire declared the social media app would pursue a “free speech” agenda. Internal Twitter communications Musk released this month also revealed a prolonged relationship between the FBI and Twitter employees, with the agency playing a regular role in the platform’s content moderation.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton likened the Biden administration’s funding of the artificial intelligence research to the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to “censor speech unapproved by the state.” For the Biden administration, Fitton said, the research is a “project to make it easier for their leftist allies to censor speech.”

A spokesman for the National Science Foundation, which issued the research grant, rebuffed criticism of the project, which he said “does not attempt to hamper free speech.” The project, the spokesman said, creates “automated ways of identifying biases in speech” and addresses the biases of human content moderators.

The research’s description doesn’t give examples of what comments would qualify as microaggressions—though it acknowledges they can be unconscious and unintentional. The project is led by computer science professor Yulia Tsvetkov, who has authored studies that suggest the artificial intelligence model might identify and suppress language many would consider inoffensive, such as comments praising the concept of meritocracy.

Tsvetkov coauthored a 2019 study titled “Finding Microaggressions in the Wild,” which categorized microaggressions into subcategories, one of which was the “myth” that “differences in treatment are due to one’s merit.” Examples of microaggressions laid out in the paper included statements like “Your mom is white, so it’s not like you’re really black,” and questions including “But where are you from, originally?”

Tsvetkov also coauthored a July article that analyzed the “prominence of positivity in #BlackLivesMatter tweets” during the June 2020 George Floyd riots. Tsvetkov and her colleagues determined positive emotions like “hope, pride, and optimism” were prevalent in pro-Black Lives Matter tweets, evidence they said contradicts narratives framing Black Lives Matter protesters as angry.

Conservative watchdog groups raised alarm over the Biden administration’s funding of the research, telling the Washington Free Beacon the project represents a White House effort to curb free speech online.

“It’s not the role of government to police speech that some might find either offensive or emotionally draining,” said Dan Schneider, vice president of the Media Research Center’s free speech division. “Government is supposed to be protecting our rights, not suppressing our rights.”

Democrat Congress Gives Corrupt Dictator Zelensky Standing Ovation As He Demands More US Money

Thu, 12/22/2022 - 14:58

The Congress’s worst moment. Ever.

The now perennially embarrassing Congress just gave corrupt dictator Zelensky a standing ovation after he demanded more money from us, the relentlessly besieged American taxpayer. He said he hasn’t been give enough. 100 billion isn’t enough.

This is the Vietnam generation……remember that?

Anti-war!
War is Not Healthy For Children And Other Living Things!

Zelensky has crushed free speech, banned the church and provided an outlet bioweapon labs and  corrupt American politicans to launder billions of US taxpayer dollars.

And the mocking was merciless:

“I’ll give him this: He speaks better English than our President. And Our Vice President. And our Speaker of the House,” podcast host Gerry Callahan wrote on Twitter, mocking President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“And [Zelensky] dresses better than the slob Pennsylvanians just sent to the Senate,” Callahan added, taking a cheap shot at Sen.-elect John Fetterman (D-Pa.), one of the New York Times’s “most stylish” people of 2022.

Kyle Poen, a regional coordinator with Students for Life, echoed Callahan in a Twitter post, noting that the non-native English speaker’s oratory skills surpassed that of the 80-year-old president.

Zelensky Didn’t Try To Be Churchill — and It Worked

He addressed Congress, and America, in a speech executed with humor, emotion, and even props — a Ukrainian battle flag and an olive sweater with the nation’s coat of arms.

By: Dean Karayanist, NY Sun, December 22, 202:

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is being showered with compliments comparing his congressional address to that of Winston Churchill, but history isn’t doling out the British Bulldog’s cigar and siren suit just yet.

The night began with a blunder sure to make Ukrainians cringe and the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, snicker. Speaker Pelosi introduced Mr. Zelensky as “president of the Ukraine,” which is considered odious. In 2014, a former ambassador to Kiev, William Taylor, told Time, “Ukraine is a country. ‘The Ukraine’ is the way the Russians referred to that part of the country during Soviet times.”

Since independence is what’s at stake, Mrs. Pelosi gave Kremlin propagandists something to highlight, but if they do, it’ll prompt Russian citizens to check out a speech executed with humor, emotion, and even props — a Ukrainian battle flag and an olive sweater with the nation’s coat of arms.

For a non-native speaker, one impulse would be to agonize over pronunciation, which frustrates an audience. Mr. Zelensky chose a better option: He laid out what’s at stake and let that transcend his accent. Although he read from a printed page, he kept his head up and maintained eye contact with those in the chamber as well as those watching on TV.

In short, Mr. Zelensky didn’t try to be someone he’s not. And while he couldn’t wield the English language with Churchill’s mastery — who, but a tiny few, can? — he did echo the address that the prime minister gave to Congress almost 81 years ago to the day, on December 26, 1941.

Sir Winston was elated that with America at its side, the Empire could strike back, and Ukraine’s president seems to be itching to counterpunch, too, if we keep the weapons and ammo coming. He even cited the speech President Franklin Roosevelt gave after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

“‘The American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory,’” Mr. Zelensky quoted him as saying before adding, “The Ukrainian people will win, too.” He also made a point to thank both of the major political parties several times, a sign of how divided our nation is when thanking “America” is no longer deemed sufficient.

Mr. Zelensky chose not to mention that America and the U.K. failed to live up to the Budapest Memorandum, which they signed with the Russian Federation on December 5, 1994, guaranteeing Ukraine’s borders in exchange for Kyiv surrendering its Soviet nuclear arsenal.

When Mr. Putin invaded Crimea and the Donbas 20 years later, he ignored that agreement just as Hitler had ignored so many, and the Anglo-Americans ignored the ignoring. President Obama responded to the violation by assuring Mr. Putin that it wouldn’t spark “another cold war,” saying, “The United States and NATO do not seek any conflict with Russia.”

Earlier this year, as the Kremlin balled up its fist, President Biden said, “I think what you’re going to see is that Russia will be held accountable if it invades,” and, “It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do” within NATO, vague language interpreted as

ABC Reporter Paid Thousands By Lobbying Firm To Write Hit Pieces On Targeted Politicians

Thu, 12/22/2022 - 14:30

That half of the country still sets get store by these jackals is our biggest obstacle…..

An ABC producer used her credentials to create fake hit pieces on local politicians in Florida while pocketing thousands from a political lobbying firm, a report said.

By: NY Post, September 22, 2022:

Freelance producer Kristen Hentschel — who mostly worked for “Good Morning America” — was paid at least $14,350 by Alabama-based political consulting firm Matrix LLC to sandbag the environmentally friendly politicians with bogus questions, according to a report released Wednesday by NPR and Floodlight, an “environmental news collaborative.”

Hentschel claimed to be working for ABC while filming the hit piece. The company said she had not been assigned to the story.

“Kristen Hentschel was a freelance daily hire who never worked for ABC News on the political stories referenced in the NPR article,” the network said in a statement.

Hentschel, who has been fired from the network, primarily did freelance work for “Good Morning America,” the same show plagued by rumors of an affair between hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.

According to the report, Hentschel began her political espionage on behalf of Matrix in 2016. She was hired by ABC News as a freelance news reporter a few weeks later. In July 2018, she asked then-candidate for Florida House of Representatives Toby Overdorf about the alleged discovery of 20 gopher tortoises, an endangered species, found dead at a nearby construction site. Hentschel showed him an ABC business card.

Overdorf, who was working at the site as an environmental engineer, told Hentschel he didn’t know what she was talking about and denied the discovery.

The interview was posted to the website of the Alabama-based Center for Sustainability and Conservation, which listed Hentschel as its media contact. Matrix had paid the center at least $55,000 through a related business, according to the consulting firm’s ledgers.

A city investigation later found there were no dead tortoises at the site and none had ever been there.

Matrix LLC paid Hentschel at least $7,000 for the job, according to its internal ledgers. The firm later billed sugar conglomerate Florida Crystals and Florida Power & Light for her work. Both companies would have suffered from progressive policies Overdorf promised to bring to the Sunshine State.

House GOP locates emails, texts showing Pelosi office directly involved in failed Jan. 6 security

Democrat leadership blamed for “knee-jerk reaction” and failing to equip police in security staffer’s email after tragedy.

By John Solomon, Just The News, December 21, 2022:

House Republicans have gathered a trove of text and email messages revealing that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office was directly involved in the creation and editing of the Capitol security plan that failed during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and that security officials later declared they had been “denied again and again” the resources needed to protect one of the nation’s most important homes of democracy.

The internal communications were made public Wednesday in a report compiled by Republican Reps. Rodney Davis, Jim Banks, Troy Nehls, Jim Jordan and Kelly Armstrong that encompasses the results of months of investigation they did of evidence that had been ignored by the Democrat-led Jan. 6 committee. The lawmakers were authorized by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to do their own probe.

The report concludes the Capitol was left vulnerable on Jan. 6 as a result of failures by the Democratic leadership in the House and law enforcement leaders in the Capitol Police who allowed concerns about the “optics” of having armed officers and National Guardsmen visible to the public to override the need for enhanced security.

“Leadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6, 2021,” the report concluded. “The Democrat-led investigation in the House of Representatives, however, has disregarded those institutional failings that exposed the Capitol to violence that day.”

The report corroborated prior reporting by Just the News that Capitol Police began receiving specific warnings in mid-December that there could be significant violence planned against the Capitol and lawmakers by protesters planning to attend the certification of the 2020 election results.

“Prior to that day, the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) had obtained sufficient information from an array of channels to anticipate and prepare for the violence that occurred,” the report determined.

You can read the full report here:
File
FINAL Report of Investigation.pdf

Banks said the GOP report helps counter a Democrat narrative that ignored security failures by police and political leadership.

“Our report exposes the partisanship, incompetence and indifference that led to the disaster on January 6 and it the leading role Speaker Pelosi and her office played in the security failure at the Capitol,” he said. “Unlike the sham January 6th Committee, House Republicans produced a useful report that will keep our Capitol and USCP officers safe with no subpoena power and no budget.”

Capitol Police said Wednesday they have been working to address the many failures the GOP report and other investigations have brought to light.

“For nearly two years our officers, officials and civilian employees have been working around the clock to address many of these findings and similar findings from a series of post January 6 reviews,” the department said in a statement. “We value everyone’s input and we are confident the U.S. Capitol complex is more secure because of the hard work of our brave men and women and because of the resources provided by the Congress to turn recommendations into results.”

But even as the department made the pledge to fix things, new failures were being unmasked. In an interview with CNN, Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger acknowledged his department hadn’t checked security at Pelosi’s home for four years before the attack earlier this fall on her husband. He vowed his department would do a better job dealing with the growing threats of violence against lawmakers.

“Our responsibility is we’ve just got to deal with the growing number,” he said.

The report does not sugarcoat the behavior of pro-Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol.

“On January 6, 2021, criminal rioters assaulted police officers, broke into the U.S. Capitol, damaged property, and temporarily interfered with the certification of states’ presidential and vice presidential electors at the Joint Session of Congress — a typically pro forma event,” it noted.

But its most explosive revelations involved text and email messages showing that two key staffers in Pelosi’s office attended regular meetings to discuss the security plan for Jan. 6 dating back to early December 2020 and that Pelosi’s top aide even edited some of the plans. Most of those discussions and meetings excluded Republican lawmakers in the House, the report noted.

“Then-House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving — who served on the Capitol Police Board by virtue of his position — succumbed to political pressures from the Office of Speaker Pelosi and House Democrat leadership leading up to January 6, 2021,” the report said. “He coordinated closely with the Speaker and her staff and left Republicans out of important discussions related to security.”

After Pelosi forced Irving to resign following the devastating events of Jan. 6, a staffer in the House Sergeant at Arms office sent a stinging email suggesting the Democratic leadership had made Irving and Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund the fall guys to cover up the failure of lawmakers to provided adequate security resources.

“For the Speaker’s knee-jerk reaction to yesterday’s unprecedented event (and God knows how Congress lives for its knee-jerk reactions and to hell with future consequences … ). to immediately call for your resignation . . . after you have been denied again and again by Appropriations for proper security outfitting of the Capitol (and I WROTE several of those testimonies, dangit) … and to blame you personally because our department was doing the best they could with what they had and our comparatively small department size and limited officer resources … and because other agencies stepped in to assist just a fraction too late … again, for Congress to demand your resignation is spectacularly unjust, unfair, and unwarranted,” the staffer wrote Irving, according to the email included in the report.

“This is not your fault. Or Sund’s fault. If anything, Appropriations should be hung out to dry,” the staffer added.

The GOP report directly challenges the story Pelosi gave in February 2021 that she had “no power” over Capitol Police or the security plan for Jan. 6. “Documents provided by the House Sergeant at Arms show how then-House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving carried out his duties in clear deference to the Speaker, her staff, and other Democratic staff,” it said.

It noted that Pelosi’s chief of staff Terri McCullough and another aide assigned to Pelosi’s staff, Jamie Fleet, had regular contact with police and the sergeant at arms over the security planning for Jan. 6 starting in early December 2020. At one point, McCullough was so involved she was asked to edit a security plan letter that was going to lawmakers a few days ahead of the tragic events.

“Irving sent the draft to McCullough and Fleet and requested any edits comments or concerns,” the report said “McCullough responded shortly afterwards with edits.”

The report faults Irving for being distracted by other responsibilities and a top intelligence official for the Capitol Police for making changes to intelligence analysis that kept frontline officers from knowing the dangers they were about to face that day.

“Officers on the front lines and analysts in USCP’s intelligence division were undermined by the misplaced priorities of their leadership,” the report said. “Those problems were exacerbated by the House Sergeant at Arms, who was distracted from giving full attention to the threat environment prior to January 6, 2021 by several other upcoming events.”

WATCH Sen. Frank Church’s Stark Warning Of Intel Agencies Capability to Impose “Total Tyranny” In America on NBC’s Meet the Press 1975

Wed, 12/21/2022 - 18:00

On August 17, 1975 Senator Frank Church appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press and issued a stark warning about a certain technology perfected by the intelligence community, which could be used by the US government against its own citizens to create “total tyranny.”

The safeguard, the fail safe that the agencies that possess the technological capacity to impose tyranny operate within the law and under proper supervision has been completely ignored, annihilated by the ruling Democrat party.

“There would be no place to hide.” The technological capacity that the intelligence community has given the government could enable it to impose total tyranny. And there would be no way to fight back because the most careful effort to combine together in resistance to the government, no matter how privately it was done, is within the reach of the government to know. Such is this capability of this technology.”

“I know the capacity that is there to make tyranny total in America and we must see to it that all agencies that possess this technology operate within the law and under proper supervision so that we never cross over that abyss. That’s the abyss from which there is no return.”

That’s the abyss.”

Imagine what the Democrat-goverment-media-axis would do to a Frank Church today.

(hat tip Amil Imani)

In 1975 Church chaired the Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, known informally as the Church Committee, which investigated alleged illegal activity by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and National Security Agency (NSA). Abuses including assassination plots in foreign countries and widespread surveillance and harassment of political activists and public figures in the United States were uncovered. The committee’s recommendations led to reforms such as the creation of congressional committees to oversee intelligence activities and an executive order banning assassinations. (Britannica)

Among the committee’s findings:

The 16-month investigation, which included 126 committee meetings, 40 subcommittee hearings, 150 staff members, and 800 witness interviews, uncovered shocking facts and intelligence operations that had been unknown to both Congress and the public:

  • Attempted assassinations of President Fidel Castro of Cuba, President Rafael Trujillo of the Dominican Republic, and Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • COINTELPRO: Covert operations by the FBI to infiltrate and discredit domestic organizations that it considered “subversive.”
  • Project Mockingbird: CIA recruitment of journalists to spread propaganda through the media.
  • Project MINARET: NSA monitoring, with the cooperation of telecommunication companies, of communications of individuals on its “Watch List,” which included Senator Church, fellow Church Committee members Walter Mondale and Howard Baker, as well as Otis Pike, chair of the House committee investigating the intelligence agencies (known as the “Pike Committee”).
  • Project SHAMROCK: Copies of all telegrams going in and out of the United States sent by telecommunications companies to the NSA which then disseminated them to other intelligence agencies.
  • HTLINGUAL: The interception and review by the CIA of mail sent to the Soviet Union and China under the guise of foreign intelligence; and the targeting of prominent civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Project MKUltra: CIA experiments conducted on American citizens in which high doses of LSD and other drugs were given to see if individuals became more susceptible to brainwashing techniques or interrogation.
  • Project MKNaomi: CIA and Army covert operations to develop and stockpile an array of biological agents without the authority of the Congress or president, including poisons in quantities that could kill tens of thousands and offensive weapons capable of delivering them.

We need a Church commission of a few honest men and women. Almost impossible to find in a absolute corrupt state of DC.

Biden to Send Patriot Missiles to Ukraine Which Means Deploying US Troops

Another $45 billion in aid to Ukraine. This brings our desolate spending in Biden’s Ukraine money laundering operation to 100 billion dollar.s Biden is declaring war on Russia.

It's official, Biden has approved sending PATRIOT missiles to Ukraine. Earlier this year Pentagon officials anonymously briefed reporters that sending PATRIOT missiles was a non-starter because it would require deploying US troops to Ukraine. By: The AP, Dec. 20, 2022:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. will send $1.8 billion in military aid to Ukraine in a massive package that will for the first time include a Patriot missile battery and precision guided bombs for their fighter jets, U.S. officials said Tuesday, as the Biden administration prepares to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Washington.

U.S. officials described details of the aid on condition of anonymity because it has not yet been announced. The aid signals an expansion by the U.S. in the kinds of advanced weaponry it will send to Ukraine to bolster the country’s air defenses against what has been an increasing barrage of Russian missile strikes.

The package, which was expected to be announced Wednesday, will include about $1 billion in weapons from Pentagon stocks and another $800 million in funding through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which funds weapons, ammunition, training and other assistance, officials said……

VAERS Shows a 4070% Increase in Miscarriages and Stillbirths Since mRNA Roll-out

By Brian Lupo, Gateway Pundit, December 19, 2022:

The vaccine is “safe and effective” according to our very own CDC, FDA and Federal government.

Nothing to see here.  Pay no attention to the 4,070% increase in miscarriages and stillbirths, as reported by the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS).  The VAERS system is the federal government’s method of monitoring vaccine injuries through real-time reporting.  As reported through OpenVAERS.com:

But what’s not getting a lot of attention is the unbelievable spike in miscarriages and stillbirths.  The following charts show the dramatic increases according to OpenVAERS:

Miscarriages as a result of a non-covid vaccine seemed to spike in 2008 around the HPV vaccine.  That number was just over 160 cases (165).  In 2021 and 2022, we have seen 3,379 and 1,445, respectively, related to the COVID vaccines.

It is worth mentioning that it is estimated by a Harvard study that only a small percentage of actual VAERS injuries get reported. The process is cumbersome for doctors and nurses and there are whistleblowers who have claimed they are “discouraged” for lack of a better term, from writing VAERS reports. The actual number is likely significantly higher.

Remember that anomaly in the number of injuries reported as well as the discouragement when you consider the increase in myocarditis cases as well as deaths:

The FBI Paid Twitter Millions of Dollars For Their “Influence Campaign”

By: Collin Rugg, Trending Politics, December 19, 2022:

On Monday, the next round of Twitter Files were dropped, proving to be the most damning file drop to date.

The drop, which was reported on by Michael Shellenberger, showed just how far the FBI went while working with Twitter to influence the 2020 election in Joe Biden’s favor.

According to the bombshell drop, the FBI paid Twitter $3.4 million dollars of taxpayer money for their “staff time.”

“The FBI’s influence campaign may have been helped by the fact that it was paying Twitter millions of dollars for its staff time,” reported Shellenberger.

Shellenberger attached an email from an associate of former FBI agent Jim Baker: “I am happy to report we have collected $3,415,323 sin

Treasonous DOJ Spied on House Intelligence Committee Investigators To Take Out Trump Administration

DOJ snooped on House Intelligence Committee investigators during Russia probe, subpoenas show

By John Solomon, Just The News, December 19, 2022:

In an extraordinary intrusion on congressional oversight, the Justice Department used grand jury subpoenas to secretly obtain the personal email and phone data of at least two top House Intelligence Committee investigators back in November 2017 just as they and their boss, then-Chairman Devin Nunes, were assembling bombshell evidence of FBI abuses in the Russia collusion probe, Just the News has learned.

The subpoenas, obtained by Just the News, show the DOJ demanded that Google turn over personal email and phone data from the two senior staffers on Nov. 20, 2017 and that responsive materials were to be returned to DOJ by Dec. 5, 2017.
File
KashPatelSubpoena.pdf

The subpoenas were delivered during a critical time frame in the committee’s effort to expose the Donald Trump-Russia collusion investigation as having been driven by an uncorroborated political opposition dossier funded by Hillary Clinton. Nunes’ committee was locked at the time in a bitter struggle to force the FBI and DOJ to turn over records to the committee.

The DOJ subpoenas came to light in the last few days when the former committee staffers were informed by Google that their records had been taken, consistent with the Big Tech company’s policy of alerting customers five years after law enforcement takes such actions.

One of the subpoenaed staffers, former Intelligence Committee senior counsel Kash Patel, told Just the News that the DOJ’s subpoenas were an extraordinary intrusion on congressional oversight and raised serious concerns about the separation of executive and legislative branch powers guaranteed in the Constitution.“It’s so shocking,” Patel told the Just the News, Not Noise television show Monday night. “Because a co-equal branch of government, we as congressional investigators and Devin Nunes, his staff on House Intel were conducting constitutional demanded oversight of the fraudulent acts at the FBI and DOJ which we now know happened.”

The other House Intelligence staffer whose records were subpoenaed by DOJ confirmed to Just the News he was notified last week by Google. He said he had worked extensively on investigating the FBI’s Russia collusion conduct, including drafting the committee’s report criticizing the FBI, reviewing sensitive documents and fighting with DOJ to gain access to the records.

Nunes said the subpoenas gave the DOJ and FBI unprecedented potential to learn in real-time what his investigation was learning about misconduct in the Russia probe. He called on the new Republican Congress to probe the subpoenas aggressively.

“The FBI and DOJ spied on a presidential campaign, and when Congress began exposing what they were doing, they spied on us to find out what we knew and how we knew it,” Nunes told Just the News. “It’s an egregious abuse of power that the next Congress must investigate so these agencies can be held accountable and reformed.”

The subpoenas demanded a broad swath of records from Google, including “all customer and subscriber account information” for Patel and the other staffer, “addresses (including mailing addresses, residential addresses, business adresses, and e-mail addresses,” user names, “screen names,” “local and long distance telephone connection records” and even the “means and source of payment for such service (including any credit card or bank account number) and billing records.”

The subpoena does not specify which component of the DOJ was leading the investigation, but included a numbering system suggesting it was being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C. At the time, DOJ had Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigating Russia collusion, the department’s inspector general was probing FBI misconduct related to the Russia case, and several agencies were investigating leaks, including one traced to a former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer.

Spokesmen for the Justice Department and U.S. Attorney’s Office did not respond to requests Monday for comment.

Former DOJ officials said since a legal dispute in 2007 over a DOJ raid of former Rep. William Jefferson’s office, the department ordinarily would require subpoenas of congressmen or their staff to include approval from the attorney general as well as some form of notification to congressional leadership. It is unclear whether those procedures were followed in the 2017 matter.

In the Russia collusion case, then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein assumed the attorney general’s powers when Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself. Rosenstein did not respond to a request by email and phone to his office for comment on Monday. Former House Speaker Paul Ryan did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Nunes and Patel said they have long suspected the FBI or DOJ might be monitoring their communications, especially after Rosenstein made a threat during a January 2018 meeting to subpoena committee members or staff.

““In this one meeting, in particular, Rod Rosenstein, who’s known for losing his temper, had done so before and in this meeting, screamed at the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and myself. And he literally said verbatim, if you’re going to continue this investigation, I’m going to subpoena you and your records, looking at the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and looking at his senior counsel and chief investigator on the Russiagate,” Patel recalled.

Harvard University law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Just the News that while more information needs to be learned that the subpoenas raised serious concerns about separation of powers between Congress and the executive branch.

“It’s a violation of the separation of powers. Look, our Framers specifically separated legislative, executive and judicial powers. And that was saying — all kinds of efforts to overcome them — that Congress is independent and has the right to investigate.

“And the Justice Department shouldn’t be investigating the investigators unless there is fairly substantial proof of, of criminal conduct. So we don’t know the whole story yet. But I’m very suspicious of subpoenas being issued by the grand jury,” he added.

TWITTER FILES 7: Treasonous FBI Was Directly Working As An Asset For The Biden Crime Family

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 19:42

This is treason. This is an insurrection.

Technofog sums up here:

Michael Shellenberger has just published the latest batch of what has come to be known as the Twitter Files. It’s a follow-up to Matt Taibbi’s recent Twitter Files release concerning FBI’s pressure campaign against Twitter to remove content the agency found objectionable.

Today’s release provides more details on the relationship between Twitter and the FBI, the suppression and removal of the Hunter Biden story from Twitter the FBI’s desire for Twitter to confirm a “foreign interference” narrative that didn’t exist, and how the FBI sought user location information for tweets that weren’t remotely criminal.

For a refresher, here are the highlights from the one of the most recent releases from Taibbi, who has done excellent work on this continuing story:

  • The FBI requested take action on what it determined to be misinformation, which included jokes from small Twitter accounts about voting dates.
  • FBI e-mails to Twitter asking for assessment of terms of service violations and “location information” about accounts that allegedly “spread misinformation about the upcoming election.” Some of those accounts were permanently suspended.
  • How the 2016 “Russian election interference” hoax influenced the FBI’s 2020 operations into reviewing American social media posts.

Today’s thread by Shellenberger expands on what we have learned.

Some findings of note:

  • The FBI continued its requests of location and VPN IP data from Twitter users, done without a warrant and without a subpoena: “would Twitter be open to sharing which service provider(s) those VPN IP addresses resolved to?” To its credit, Twitter pushed back on this request.
  • In one case, the FBI requested user data for an account that was critical of BLM and the Democrats. Twitter responded by confirming “the account in question is domestic in origin.”
  • The US intelligence community was pushing Twitter to “share more information” and change its user privacy settings.

  • Approximately 6 weeks before the 2020 election, the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force requested a classified briefing for Twitter general counsel James Baker (who, as you might recall, was involved in the FBI’s “botched” Russian collusion investigation). Baker, who was recently fired by Elon Musk, will come to be an important player in the Hunter Biden laptop saga, telling his Twitter colleagues the laptop materials were potentially hacked. Interestingly, on the day the Hunter Biden story was published, James Baker would have a telephone call with FBI general counsel Matthew Perry.

9. And yet, within hours, Twitter and other social media companies censor the NY Post article, preventing it from spreading and, more importantly, undermining its credibility in the minds of many Americans.

Why is that? What, exactly, happened?

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

10. On Dec 2, @mtaibbi described the debate inside Twitter over its decision to censor a wholly accurate article.

Since then, we have discovered new info that points to an organized effort by the intel community to influence Twitter & other platforms https://t.co/1ZF3oottKR

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

11. First, it's important to understand that Hunter Biden earned *tens of millions* of dollars in contracts with foreign businesses, including ones linked to China's government, for which Hunter offered no real work.
Here's an overview by investigative journalist @peterschweizer pic.twitter.com/8EGQSpDl06

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

12. And yet, during all of 2020, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies repeatedly primed Yoel Roth to dismiss reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop as a Russian “hack and leak” operation.

This is from a sworn declaration by Roth given in December 2020.https://t.co/IvTjyYw9iR pic.twitter.com/5iq2ATB3bW

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

13. They did the same to Facebook, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. “The FBI basically came to us [and] was like, ‘Hey… you should be on high alert. We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in 2016 election. There's about to be some kind of dump similar to that.'" pic.twitter.com/yPGP8nYgCq

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

14. Were the FBI warnings of a Russian hack-and-leak operation relating to Hunter Biden based on *any* new intel?

No, they weren't

“Through our investigations, we did not see any similar competing intrusions to what had happened in 2016,” admitted FBI agent Elvis Chan in Nov. pic.twitter.com/tFPMqbydbA

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

15. Indeed, Twitter executives *repeatedly* reported very little Russian activity.

E.g., on Sept 24, 2020, Twitter told FBI it had removed 345 “largely inactive” accounts “linked to previous coordinated Russian hacking attempts.” They “had little reach & low follower accounts." pic.twitter.com/hy7hPahChS

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

16. In fact, Twitter debunked false claims by journalists of foreign influence on its platform

“Our review thus far shows a small-scale domestic troll effort…” pic.twitter.com/fWYNv7mMea

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

17. After FBI asks about a WaPo story on alleged foreign influence in a pro-Trump tweet, Twitter's Roth says, "The article makes a lot of insinuations… but we saw no evidence that that was the case here (and in fact, a lot of strong evidence pointing in the other direction).” pic.twitter.com/jJjnczZnA5

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

18. It's not the first time that Twitter's Roth has pushed back against the FBI. In January 2020, Roth resisted FBI efforts to get Twitter to share data outside of the normal search warrant process. pic.twitter.com/NAssnLMpds

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) December 19, 2022

19. Pressure had been growing:

25. In Aug, 2020, FBI’s Chan asks Twitter: does anyone there have top secret clearance?

36. And yet it's inconceivable Baker believed the Hunter Biden emails were either fake or hacked. The @nypost had included a picture of the receipt signed by Hunter Biden, and an FBI subpoena showed that the agency had taken possession of the laptop in December 2019. pic.twitter.com/hwr2zBouly

37. As for the FBI, it likely would have taken a few *hours* for it to confirm that the laptop had belonged to Hunter Biden. Indeed, it only took a few days for journalist @peterschweizer to prove it. pic.twitter.com/eD8uk9lefn

38. By 10 am, Twitter execs had bought into a wild hack-and-dump story

40. The influence operation persuaded Twitter execs that the Hunter Biden laptop did *not* come from a whistleblower.

41. There is evidence that FBI agents have warned elected officials of foreign influence with the primary goal of leaking the information to the news media. This is a political dirty trick used to create the perception of impropriety.

45. In the end, the FBI's influence campaign aimed at executives at news media, Twitter, & other social media companies worked: they censored & discredited the Hunter Biden laptop story.

46. The FBI’s influence campaign may have been helped by the fact that it was paying Twitter millions of dollars for its staff time.

47. And the pressure from the FBI on social media platforms continues

South Dakota Gov. Noem Proposes Legislation to Restrict Chinese Purchase of US Farmland

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 18:32

Every Republican governor should do the same. The CCP should not be allowed to purchase American farmland. All governors should replicate governor Noem’s policy on TikTok as well.

As one commenter remarked, “This is such a no-brainer, it’s amazing that someone in this country should have to fight others about whether or not to let foreign countries who hate us buy up our land.”

Cotton Warns China Buying Farmland in U.S. ‘Is a National Security Threat’

“China cannot feed its own people. The United States not only can feed our own people — we can feed much of the world. We should never surrender that massive strategic advantage,” Cotton outlined. “We should not allow Chinese nationals to buy up American farmland or to invest in American food and agricultural companies. We should protect those critical assets for our own country.”

South Dakota Gov. Noem Proposes Legislation to Restrict Chinese Purchase of US Farmland

By Epoch Times, Dec 18, 2022

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem announced on Dec. 13 new proposed legislation to restrict farmland purchases by foreign countries, namely China.

“With this new process, we will be able to prevent nations who hate us—like Communist China—from buying up our state’s agriculture land,” Noem said in a statement.

“We cannot allow the Chinese Communist Party to continue to buy up our nation’s food supply, so South Dakota will lead the charge on this vital national security issue.”

The proposed plan marked the latest step by the Republican governor to clamp down on the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) influence in her state.

Democrats Move To Bar Trump From Office

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 18:00

We have no country. No borders, no laws and we are being run into the ground by the party who LOST the civil war. How are these slave-owners in charge?

Democrats Rally to Utilize 14th Amendment Against Trump

Daily Mail: Nearly 40 Democrats have joined Rep. David Cicilline’s effort to bar former President Donald Trump from taking office again, using a portion of the 14th Amendment meant for ex-Confederates. The Rhode Island Democrat introduced legislation Thursday citing Article 3 of the 14th Amendment known as the ‘Disqualification Clause,’ which bans individuals from holding office if they ‘engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof’ (Daily Mail). CBS: The bill would need to pass both chambers of Congress, with only days before Republicans take control of the House and a substantial end-of-year agenda remaining. The legislation drops as the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol prepares to release its final report next week (CBS).

‘Israeli Democracy Is In Danger,’ The New York Times Writes Antisemitic Hit Piece

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 16:00

The anti-Semitic New York Times has been working diligently to demonize and delegitimize the incoming Netanyahu government, that was democratically elected by the Israeli people. Launching vicious and slanderous attacks against Netanyahu and his coalition, in an attempt to to totally undermine U.S-Israel relations. All while anti-Semitic and anti-Israel attacks against American Jews has reached record levels. No rational American should read this rag of a paper.

‘Israeli democracy is in danger,’ The New York Times writes in op-ed

By I-24 News, Dec 18, 2022

‘The Israel we knew is no more,’ the influential U.S. newspaper writes in an op-ed

The next government led by prime minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu puts Israeli democracy at risk, according to a New York Times op-ed published on Saturday.

“The Israel we knew is no more,” the editorial states, while noting that “elections in Israel often have unexpected outcomes,” which are part of “Israel’s proud tradition as a turbulent and pluralist democracy. However, “the far-right government which is soon to come to power appears to be ominously different from any past government in Israel.”

Analysis of RNC Spending Since 2017 Shows Millions Were Spent on Private Jets, Limousines, Luxury Retreats, Broadway Shows

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 15:00

This is disgusting. All while the Republican Party loses elections due to a lack of funding and weak ground games for it’s candidates. Ronna McDaniel needs to be removed as RNC Chair ASAP. President Trump never should have endorsed her. The Republican Party leadership is killing the Republican Party, because they are alienating the Trump-base with corruption like this. This is just the latest example. Breakdown is below.

EXCLUSIVE: Analysis of RNC Spending Since 2017 Shows Millions Were Spent on Private Jets, Limousines, Luxury Retreats, Broadway Shows

By The Right Scoop, Dec 19, 2022

Back in 2010, RNC Chair Michael Steele was heavily criticized and eventually lost his position because donors were angry about what they believed was luxurious spending on private jets, floral arrangements, chauffeur services, and member meetings in expensive tropical locales. Donors were used to frugality from the RNC under the George W. Bush administration, when “Karl Rove would bitch if there were flowers on the tables” and staff holiday parties were catered by Chick-fil-A.

Despite Joe Biden’s economy and three straight cycles of election losses, the RNC’s big-spending days are back with a vengeance.

Perhaps because of these losses both RNC donors and committee members are intensely interested in the committee’s finances, particularly the spending. Late last week, RedState was provided a report dated October 7, 2022 that examined RNC’s 2021-22 spending. It calculated more than $500,000 in private jet expenses, $64,000 at clothing retailers, and $321,000 in floral arrangements.

To determine how that compared with the rest of Ronna McDaniel’s tenure, RedState examined RNC expenditures from 2017 through 2022. In addition to a review of Federal Elections Commission (FEC) data, RedState spoke with current vendors, state party officials familiar with the workings, former staffers (some from McDaniel’s tenure, and some who worked for prior chairs), and several current RNC members to verify numbers and dates. Most were only willing to discuss the matters on background, and all were promised anonymity to avoid potential retaliation.

Elon Musk Conducts Poll To Oust Him, Promises to “Abide By The Results”

Mon, 12/19/2022 - 14:07

Tesla mogul and twitter CEO Elon Musk polled users late Sunday, asking if he should “step down as head of Twitter” and vowing to “abide by the results of this poll.”

Voting ended just before 6:20 a.m. this morning— with 57.5% choosing for him to leave.

Here’s the thing, all things are not equal. For YEARS, those of us who spoke truth to power have been banned, silenced, shadowbanned, our followers shaved en masse The right has been crippled on this platform. The left – the crazier, the more vicious – took over. This is their platform. The voter base is skewed.

I don’t believe any one man can save the Republic. But Elon’s purchase of Twitter was a good start.

17M people vote on whether to oust Musk as Twitter boss in poll he promised to ‘abide by’

By: NY Post, December 19, 2022:

Elon Musk appeared destined to quit running Twitter Monday after more than 10 million users voted for him to step down less than two months after he bought the social media platform for $44 billion.

The Tesla mogul had polled users late Sunday, asking if he should “step down as head of Twitter” and vowing to “abide by the results of this poll.”

Voting ended just before 6:20 a.m. ET — with 57.5% choosing for him to leave.

With more than 17.5 million voting in the online poll, that meant more than 10 million users wanted to see Twitter no longer be run by Musk, who is once again the world’s richest man.

Musk did not immediately comment on the poll’s results. But he’d earlier insisted that no one was lined up to replace him.

“No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor,” he tweeted after warning users to “be careful what you wish, as you might get it.”
