‘The 1980s called’! DNC chair Tom Perez channels his inner Mitt Romney while sounding alarm about Russia at #OzyFest

Sat, 07/21/2018 - 19:52

Back in 2012, just six years ago, the DNC mocked Mitt Romney and gave then-President Obama a standing ovation for what the GOP nominee said about Russia during a debate:

Romney, who calls Russia our "No. 1 geopolitical foe," doesn't seem to realize it's the 21st century. #RomneyNotReady http://t.co/xcvhOAFS

— The Democrats (@TheDemocrats) October 22, 2012

During a discussion at OzyFest in New York City, DNC chair Tom Perez sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash:

At #ozyfest2018 for @Inc listening to @TomPerez waiting for @HillaryClinton to come onstage pic.twitter.com/QgUZ4qfKbv

— Jemima McEvoy (@jemimacmcevoy) July 21, 2018

The man who is now the chair of the political party that mocked Romney a few years ago suddenly sounded a lot like the person the DNC mocked:

On a panel at #Ozyfest Tom Perez tells Dana Bash, ‘Russia is our most serious adversary.’ That is emphatically not what the previous Democratic president said.

— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) July 21, 2018

Was Perez pressed to offer a formal apology to Mitt Romney on behalf of the Democratic Party?

How dare he criticize Obama!

No big deal, just the Trump administration sending $200 million in military aid to Ukraine

Sat, 07/21/2018 - 12:00

Tell us more about President Donald Trump being a Putin puppet or something:

The Pentagon has announced it will provide $200 million in security assistance to Ukraine. https://t.co/XvAblnoMxm

— Axios (@axios) July 20, 2018

The money is considered “non-lethal” aid but will be used for “additional training, equipment and advisory efforts”:

#BREAKING Just in: The Department of Defense announced today that they will provide $200 million to Ukraine in security cooperation funds for additional training, equipment and advisory efforts to build the defensive capacity of Ukraine’s forces.

— James LaPorta (@JimLaPorta) July 20, 2018

When will Dems and the media accept that Trump’s actions are different than what Trump says?

The Pentagon just provided $200 MILLION worth of security assistance to Ukraine. It’s the latest example of the Trump administration’s tough actions against Russia. https://t.co/8ebWKzywi9

— Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) July 20, 2018

And here’s Secretary of Defense James Mattis:

Mattis: "Russia should suffer consequences for its aggressive, destabilizing behavior and its illegal occupation of Ukraine," U.S. defense secretary says in statement

— Lucas Tomlinson (@LucasFoxNews) July 20, 2018

In other news, the National Security Council “shot down” that proposal for a referendum in Crimea to determine if it’s part of Russia or Ukraine:

Breaking: US National Security Council has shot down Putin’s proposal for a referendum to be held to decide the fate of war-torn eastern Ukraine, saying it would not be legitimate because the area is not under control of the Ukranian government, source tells me and via @Reuters

— Christopher Miller (@ChristopherJM) July 20, 2018

Statement here:

White House now says it "is not considering supporting a referendum in eastern Ukraine," despite Putin offer. Statement from NSC spokesman Garrett Marquis: pic.twitter.com/fMyz100KRJ

— Jeremy Diamond (@JDiamond1) July 20, 2018

Yes, actions do speak louder than words but Trump won’t get credit for it:

That proverbial tree that falls in the woods will get more notice from the mainstream media than this news.
Question: Do actions speak louder than words? https://t.co/SlV2pxtftB

— Charles V Payne (@cvpayne) July 20, 2018

From the president himself:

I got severely criticized by the Fake News Media for being too nice to President Putin. In the Old Days they would call it Diplomacy. If I was loud & vicious, I would have been criticized for being too tough. Remember when they said I was too tough with Chairman Kim? Hypocrites!

Sat, 07/21/2018 - 02:06

Yikes. Every other word in this new ad from Planned Parenthood of New York City is “f*ck.” The ad is so back that Axios’ Jonathan Swan thought it was a “spoof”:

FLASHBACK: James Gunn endorsed advertiser boycott of Laura Ingraham

Sat, 07/21/2018 - 01:11

It’s not just Roseanne Barr who writer-director James Gunn thought should be fired. Check out what he had to say about Fox News’ Laura Ingraham:

I’m really looking forward to season two of Handmaid’s Tale so I hope @hulu stops advertising on the Aunt Lydia show – uh, I mean, on the Laura Ingraham show, so I can watch it. Online bullying & shaming of teenagers should not be supported by Hulu. Let them know.

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 29, 2018

That mob doesn’t look so good when it’s heading your direction, does it?

It gets worse…

Gunn defended Laura Ingraham losing her show because Fox News would just replace it with something else so nobody would lose their jobs:

A) He’s the freaking President of the United States. One of his jobs is to facilitate the economy. B) If Ingraham’s show is canceled it’s replaced by another – an equal amount of jobs. It’s not an overall loss as it is with the NFL. C) Do I really have to explain all this?

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) April 23, 2018

Good news! “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will still get made and nobody will lose their jobs either!

SEASON 2 CLIFFHANGER: Michael Avenatti open to representing Michael Cohen

Fri, 07/20/2018 - 23:31

What the heck is happening? Michael Avenatti just happened to run into Michael Cohen at a restaurant in New York City?

Stormy lawyer @MichaelAvenatti says his run-in with Michael Cohen this week at an NYC restaurant was "lengthy" and "frank." And: “Had Mr. Trump witnessed this interaction, he would have blown a gasket."

— MJ Lee (@mj_lee) July 20, 2018

Michael Avenatti confirms he and Michael Cohen ran into each other at a NYC restaurant Monday night. Avenatti declined to say exactly what they talked about but described their meeting as "productive," adding it "could ultimately end up being a critical" @VanityFair also reported

— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) July 20, 2018

That’s just not believable:

There are THOUSANDS of restaurants in NYC
What are the odds Cohen & Avenatti “ran into” one another? https://t.co/VN8RtteF84

— Stephanie Ruhle (@SRuhle) July 20, 2018

And after this and all the other Michael Cohen news broke today, Avenatti went on MSNBC and said he’d consider representing Michael Cohen:

New: @MichaelAvenatti Avenatti tells me he would not rule out representing Michael Cohen.

— Ari Melber (@AriMelber) July 20, 2018

Watch here:

Breaking: @MichaelAvenatti says if Michael Cohen "was prepared to do the right thing", I would "absolutely consider" representing him.

"Michael Cohen and I had a chance to converse" we had "a very positive meeting" pic.twitter.com/AGA0MTvgmq

— TheBeat w/Ari Melber (@TheBeatWithAri) July 20, 2018

A couple of issues with all this, from defense attorneys…

First up, Scott Greenfield points out the possible issue with Avenatti meeting with Cohen at the restaurant:

A lawyer communicating with a represented party is a violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility, Rule 4.2 in NY and Rule 2-100 in CA. https://t.co/GpmIOtcx3e

— Scott Greenfield (@ScottGreenfield) July 20, 2018

And here’s @Beyondareasdoubt’s reaction to the idea that Avenatti could somehow represent Cohen:

I just busted out the loudest laugh in a very public place. This clown will say anything for attention. And for you non-lawyers, the clear conflicts of interest couldn’t even be waived at this point imo https://t.co/ndtIm1zNNw

— LB (@beyondreasdoubt) July 20, 2018

To expand b/c I have a few minutes:
Clown represents Stormy. Stormy is currently suing Cohen. Clown is also representing Stormy in frivolous defamation lawsuit against Trump, who of course was Cohen’s prior client, and at least somewhat involved in Cohen criminal investigation

— LB (@beyondreasdoubt) July 20, 2018

Yet the media just keeps airing the circus:

In other words, as I’ve said from Day One, Avenatti is a clown and the MSM is a bunch of folks for continuing to give him airtime. But please journos run away from twitter because it’s scary here!

Ben Shapiro: Firing James Gunn ‘for vile old joke tweets is bad precedent and a mistake’

Fri, 07/20/2018 - 21:53

Now that James Gunn has been fired over his disgusting old tweets, Ben Shapiro, who is actually at the center of all this, tweets that “firing him for vile old joke tweets is bad precedent and a mistake. There is no limiting principle to the outrage mob”:

I think @JamesGunn is an a**hole, as my exchange with him earlier this week made clear. I also think that firing him for vile old joke tweets is bad precedent and a mistake. There is no limiting principle to the outrage mob. https://t.co/wtSFzrIUER

— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) July 20, 2018

Keep in mind, nobody on the Right even cared about James Gunn that much until, out of nowhere, he called Ben Shapiro and “a**hole” after actor Mark Duplass tweeted that people should follow Ben even though they may disagree with him:

Maybe you disagree with Mark Duplass, which is completely fair (personally I think even Ben Shapiro's mother should unfollow him). But that doesn't make Duplass' point-of-view evil. There are a lot of traitors & racists in the country today. Perhaps save the outrage for them. 1

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 18, 2018

Not everyone can be right all the time about everything, and, if you think that's possible, then eventually you're going to be standing by yourself, "right," but alone. 2

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 18, 2018

We have a President who's an operative for a foreign nation at our helm. We have immigrant children still held without parents. Our election was attacked by Russia and the corrupt GOP is doing everything to make sure we don't put protections in place against it happening again. 3

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 18, 2018

Mark Duplass tweeting how you should follow an asshole because he thinks it's the kind thing to do simply can't be the bar for moral outrage.

Have a good day. 4/END

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 18, 2018

Gunn added:

I’ve made many mistakes both on film & off, @benshapiro. As for the asshole thing, I really don’t know who you are other than the guy who once made fun of a high-schooler for using incorrect grammar in a tweet where you yourself used incorrect grammar. So, you know, asshole. https://t.co/vlxDawhwh8

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 18, 2018

It was when Duplass apologized for telling libs to follow Ben and insinuated that he endorsed “hatred, racism, homophobia and xenophobia” that conservatives started checking out old tweets from both of them:

pic.twitter.com/DT9th08KGF

— Mark Duplass (@MarkDuplass) July 19, 2018

While some liberal media outlets have tried to pump the brakes on deifying Ocasio-Cortez, the aspiring congresswoman can at least rest easy knowing that Slate hasn’t abandoned her just yet:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s gaffe is minor compared with the usual lies and ignorance in Congress: https://t.co/S0aANcqKWq pic.twitter.com/yAf9smy84u

— Slate (@Slate) July 19, 2018

Because of course. Jordan Weissmann writes:

It’s possible that this is what she meant all along: Unemployment is low, but everybody has two jobs. An exaggeration, perhaps, though not an outlandish one.

But let’s say Ocasio-Cortez really made a sincere mistake during her PBS appearance. So what?

On the one hand, it’s entirely reasonable for good-faith critics to call out her error. No matter how debased our politics become, we should expect people who run for office to get facts right. Given that she’s a far-left politician who wants to hasten the end of modern capitalism, it’s especially fair to ask that Ocasio-Cortez undertsand basic concepts about the economy, like the unemployment rate (doubly so given that she has an economics degree, and likes to tout it).

On the other hand, the mistake also deserves its proper context, which is that the comment would barely be news if it were uttered by a Republican. GOP orthodoxy of course includes a series of big lies—climate change isn’t real, tax cuts will pay themselves, Obamacare is collapsing by itself, and so forth.

This would be an outlandish, false claim not merely an exaggeration. And that's already being generous with what she said. pic.twitter.com/E2M1QDkX43

— John Sexton (@verumserum) July 19, 2018

Also, “barely be news if it were uttered by a Republican”? How the hell did he type that with a straight face?

Gaffe is a mistake. Not knowing something and speaking about it makes you ignorant.

Economic illiteracy & abject ignorance of basic geopolitics is a gaffe now pic.twitter.com/Qbbv7IPd2V

— George. (@jitotweets) July 19, 2018

What makes Weissmann’s take even more deliciously stupid is this:

Identical excuse used by Trump supporters. https://t.co/TGU9b5AsCl

— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) July 19, 2018

Yep. Weissmann is engaging in classic whataboutism. He just can’t bring himself to admit that just because Donald Trump says stupid things doesn’t mean that Ocasio-Cortez — or any Democrat — can’t say something just as stupid.

Here’s what Weissmann tweeted earlier this week:

It's kind of funny watching conservatives come down on Ocasio-Cortez for flubbing a question about unemployment when Trump spent the entire presidential campaign saying the "real" jobless number was 42%.

— Jordan Weissmann (@JHWeissmann) July 17, 2018

Newsflash: Stupid is stupid. And invoking Trump to defend Ocasio-Cortez is pretty damn stupid.

“Our new Marx BAE is just as inaccurate and inarticulate with unemployment numbers as Donald Trump” isn’t really the talking point I’d be fashioning but hey, full leeroy Jenkins. https://t.co/w2J2ytjYU7

Eating their OWN! Rosie O’Donnell SLAMS Kamala Harris for not doing ANYTHING about separating families

Thu, 07/19/2018 - 17:59

Good ol’ Kamala Harris. While most Democrats have moved on to shrieking about Kavanaugh (or going back to crying about Russia), Kamala has really been focusing all of her feigned outrage on illegal immigrants.

She really knows who her voters are, eh?

The only issue with her tweets and pandering is she’s complaining about legislation that was actually passed by a Democrat and upheld by another Democrat. Granted, most of her base probably doesn’t understand the basics of what is happening with illegal immigrants in this country, but c’mon. Surely some of them can Google, right?

Every single day these families are separated, another child goes to sleep terrified because they don’t know where their parents are. All because of a policy used to punish immigrants fleeing violence. This is not reflective of a civil society.https://t.co/vC7r1E8fMy

— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) July 19, 2018

Maybe not.

A policy set by Bill Clinton and enforced by Obama as well.

Your record as AG of CA belies your concern over separating families. #Fraud #ResignNow

Tough crowd, Kamala.

it is a tyrannical policy.

— alienghic@octodon.social (@alienghic) July 19, 2018

Freakin’ Obama.

No. Incorrect. “ALL BECAUSE” you and your congressional colleagues haven’t moved on immigration reform in years. Last I checked, @POTUS doesn’t make the laws. But, I’m not surprised you’re confused. When you don’t support rule of law or know our constitution, it can be tough.

— SundayNightsLiveToo! (@snltoo) July 19, 2018

Oh, yeah. There’s that too. The president isn’t supposed to pass legislation, Kamala. That’s your job. We know you all got used to President Pen and Phone, but we’ve all seen what a mess that makes of people’s lives with DACA, right?

She’s REALLY milking this.

There are still 2,600 immigrant children who have yet to be reunited with their families or caretakers.

‘Put your pants back on’: Brian Stelter might need to be hosed down after this

Wed, 07/18/2018 - 21:36

Stand back, everybody. Brian Stelter’s latest fit of ecstasy cannot be contained.

At this afternoon’s White House press briefing, reporter Jordan Fabian turned his time over to Hallie Jackson after Sarah Sanders tried to move on from Jackson’s follow-up question:

So that was @Jordanfabian who threw his question back to @HallieJackson as she tried to ask a follow up but Sanders was trying to move on.

— Hadas Gold (@Hadas_Gold) July 18, 2018

And Stelter couldn’t get enough of it:

It happened! @PressSec tried to avoid @HallieJackson's follow-up questions by calling on The Hill's @JordanFabian. But Fabian deferred to Jackson, so she could follow up. So many viewers have wanted to see this happen… unity… and today it did.

Shocker! Vote confirms how many Democrats support ICE (Spoiler: It’s NOT very many)

Wed, 07/18/2018 - 20:53

Many Democrats have recently called for Immigration & Customs Enforcement to be abolished. A vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on a non-binding resolution showing support for ICE, law enforcement and the military gave Democrats a chance to show they’re against the agency en masse, and instead, most voted “present” instead of yes or no:

133 Democrats refuse to vote “yes” or “no” on a motion supporting ICE, for fear of alianting their base. Instead, they voted “present.” 34 progressives vote no (they want to abolish ICE) and 18 more pragmatic minded Ds voted “yes.”

— Rachael Bade (@rachaelmbade) July 18, 2018

Well, there it is:

18 House Democrats support ICE. 167 do not. https://t.co/ZgQhMUaE4v

— Phil Kerpen (@kerpen) July 18, 2018

Senate Dems blocked a similar measure:

Absolutely.

One House Republican voted no:

The resolution stating the support of Congress for ICE is adopted 244-35, with 133 Democrats voting present, 34 Democrats voting no, 18 Democrats voting yes, 226 Republicans voting yes, and one Republican — Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) — voting no.

No edit button? Gab trolls Twitter after project lead says ‘election integrity’ is their top priority

Wed, 07/18/2018 - 20:43

In case you didn’t know, Gab promotes itself as “The Free Speech Social Network” and is trying to lure Twitter users who feel they’re being censored to its social media platform. It also engaged in a nice bit of corporate trolling Tuesday after a project lead at Twitter said parenthetically that “election integrity” is Twitter’s top priority.

We've heard some questions recently about the status of Verification on Twitter, so wanted to address directly. Updating our verification program isn’t a top priority for us right now (election integrity is). Here’s some history & context, and how we plan to put it on our roadmap

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

That’s quite a big admission to make in parentheses, and Gab was quick to jump on it:

Twitter’s top priority is censoring for the primaries. https://t.co/Jej8CPG6EZ

— Gab.ai (@getongab) July 17, 2018

Solid burn.

It’s already in effect by conservative accounts. Many replies that don’t include any offensive words are hidden simply for being pro-conservative.

— Censored (@bballnpolitics2) July 17, 2018

We’re old enough to remember when @GayPatriot had his account locked for abusive behavior after calling Chelsea Manning “Bradley.”

It’s no secret that we rely on Twitter for material, so we were interested to see what Kayvon had to say about Twitter’s verification process, and why so many blue-checks we’ve never heard of seem to get away with truly abusive behavior on the platform.

Back in November we paused public Verification b/c we wanted to address the issue that verifying the authenticity of an account was being conflated with endorsement. Our intention was to hit the brakes until we had a fix across policy/enforcement/product. https://t.co/HJW40w9dAH

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

Despite that goal, we still verify accounts ad hoc when we think it serves the public conversation & is in line with our policy. But this has led to frustration b/c our process remains opaque & inconsistent with our intented pause. This is far from ideal & we still intend to fix

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

Though we've made a lot of progress towards a holistic solution, the truth is that this work is still incomplete and we’re choosing not to prioritize it just now (attached is an email I sent our Health leadership team last week) pic.twitter.com/6xoEv1n3TR

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

OK, brace yourself for this next tweet:

Instead, our team is focused on information quality ahead of the elections– our highest priority within the Health roadmap. This focus will help us move faster on what we think is most important. After we make more progress, we plan to address Verification.

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

All 90 percent of Twitter users want is an edit button to fix typos, but Twitter’s team is “focused on information quality ahead of the elections.” Honestly — somewhere between the time that Hillary lost and the Russian collusion narrative caught fire, someone floated the idea that “fake news” on social media had cost her the election, and social media companies are still running with that.

I know this isn’t the most satisfying news, but I wanted to be transparent about our priorities. Feedback and thoughts welcome, as always.

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvz) July 17, 2018

Feedback?

Is this a joke? Twitter cares about election integrity about as far as they have gone to stop shadow-banning and censoring conservatives.

— Uncaduv (@Uncaduv) July 17, 2018

You mean silencing people that don't go along with your protected PC culture? You people are going to be in for another RUDEEEEEE AWAKENING come November

— Flanderz (@KFlanagan721) July 17, 2018

Election integrity has nothing to do with Twitter regardless of what Democrats say. If #FakeNews is such a danger, why hasn't @CNN been able to convince anyone to vote Democrat?

— Rob Kurtas (@robknyc) July 17, 2018

Any way you can use censorship to help manipulate people into voting Left is the top priority. This has become perfectly clear to most.

— jsmall (@jsmalls131313) July 17, 2018

Anyway, back to election integrity and why it’s so important:

Look everyone, as I’ve already said: fake news is our main concern right now. Did you know that there are 1.2 trillion fake news articles a day on Twitter? Blue ticks ain’t gonna help with that. We need to be focussed on what’s truly important.

— Kayvon Beykpour (@kayvonbp) July 18, 2018

He’s got a point: mainstream media outlets with blue checks like CNN spread plenty of fake news on Twitter, but we trust ourselves to sort it out.

BS- you’re liberal dbags, all you needed to say

— big daddy (@jsalicea00) July 17, 2018

How dare you accuse Twitter of being liberal, just because its CEO backtracked after being caught eating at a Chick-fil-A during Pride Month.

You’re right. Completely forgot about their background

OOPS: Russia walks back claim that Bill Browder donated $400M to Hillary Clinton’s campaign

Wed, 07/18/2018 - 16:01

One of the odd moments to come out of the Helsinki press conference was when Russian President Vladimir Putin said that financier and Putin critic Bill Browder had donated $400 million to the campaign of Hillary Clinton:

MORE: Putin says we suspect U.S. intelligence officials were involved in channeling $400 million from businessman Browder to Hillary Clinton election campaign

— Reuters Top News (@Reuters) July 16, 2018

The claim was quickly shot down by multiple fact-checkers.

From the New York Times, for example:

We tried to fact-check PUTIN's claim that @BillBrowder's associates donated $400M in un-taxed Russian $ to @HillaryClinton's campaign, but it was so completely without evidence that there were no pants to light on fire, so I hereby deem it "WITHOUT PANTS." https://t.co/js3XprGK1T

— Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) July 16, 2018

And PolitiFact:

Vladimir Putin said @HillaryClinton campaign got $400 million from financier Bill Browder partners.
Data says …
$315,000 to Clinton and DNC.https://t.co/1ujZlOjSge pic.twitter.com/4maFBeHHhL

— PolitiFact (@PolitiFact) July 17, 2018

According to a report for the Russian state-sponsored news agency TASS, what Putin meant to say was the Browder gave $400,000, which is close to what PolitiFact reported:

PUTIN WALK BACK: Russian government corrects his claim that @BillBrowder allies donated $400M in untaxed $ to @HillaryClinton.
Apparently, he meant that $400k went to @TheDemocrats.
NOTE: This is still INCORRECT (assuming he's still referring to the Ziffs) https://t.co/k80YFFS0RV

— Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) July 18, 2018

Browder disputes the PolitiFact ruling and says he donated “ZERO”:

BREAKING: After Putin accused me at the Helsinki Summit of donating $400m to the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Russian General Prosecutor clarified that Putin should have said $400k. The real answer is I donated ZERO. Total amateur hour. https://t.co/xqxsglR7sj

Fake news: New York Times falls for satirist in its profile of the man known as Germany’s Donald Trump

Tue, 07/17/2018 - 22:53

Oops! It looks like The New York Times was a little too anxious to include some provocative quotes in its July 6 profile of Bavarian premier Markus Söder, the man known as “Germany’s Trump.”

The Daily Caller notes Tuesday that the Times on Sunday appended a correction to its profile clarifying that it had fallen for a satirist and misattributed quotes to Söder.

New York Times Falls For Satire Website About German Politician https://t.co/WNYFmRqAB6 pic.twitter.com/peaUfwW2NK

— The Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) July 17, 2018

As people have commented so many times before, isn’t it funny that these errors that later demand corrections always seem intended to make Trump or his administration look bad? Here’s the best part of the correction:

While he has a reputation for making provocative statements, he did not say that German children should be called Klaus, not Kevin, nor did he propose having the entire Green Party sent for a drug test. Those comments were written by a satirist, not Mr. Söder.

Note that instead of just making the correction, the Times had to qualify it by adding that Söder “has a reputation for making provocative statements”?

That’s another thing: when an outlet like The New Yorker does a puff piece on socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, do they ever say she has a reputation for making provocative statements, such as calling Israel “the occupier of Palestine” and saying that capitalism “will not always exist in the world”?

In any case, we’re not defending Söder or any of his provocative statements — the real ones, that is.

Layers and layers of fact checkers…
